MEGAMAN^® at Hong Kong Light Fair

Leading the way with advances in technology and functionality in the LED lighting industry, MEGAMAN^® has shown its continued commitment to environmental conservation and truly “green” eco-living at the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2010 with its growing LED range of sustainable, energy conscious lighting products, and the collaboration with its newest eco-partner, Towngas.

MEGAMAN®’s philosophy of Life in Light, with an environmental conservation and energy efficiency edge, goes far beyond the design, research, development and recycling of its innovative lighting products. At this year’s fair, MEGAMAN^® creates an exciting natural environment, with a “green” exterior booth designed by Mr Kinney Chan, where visitors can experience a whole world of eco-lighting solutions.

To enhance its wide range of truly green LED lighting solutions for homes and commercial enterprises, this year MEGAMAN^® launches two brand new series of LED lamps – LED GX53 Reflector and LED CROWN SILVER. In addition, MEGAMAN^® also presents new options within two of its celebrated LED lamp series, the LED MR16 Reflector and LED CANDLE series, as the company endeavours to increase wattage choices among its entire selection of products. In line with all MEGAMAN® LED lighting products, these additions have employed the patented Thermal Conductive HighwayTM technology and are optimised for a long life that greatly reduces electricity and maintenance costs with effective energy savings and high lumen maintenance.

MEGAMAN^® introduces the LED GX53 Reflector, with an ultimate slim profile to accommodate a wide variety of applications such as display cabinet and under-shelf lighting and a high colour rendering index of up to Ra85 to provide a true reflection of the colour of displayed products or items, making it perfect for display lighting. And, possessing a unique silver-plated lamp design in the classic A60 shape, with a silvered crown top and clear lamp bulb finishing, the LED CROWN SILVER has the ability to glamorise the ambience and turn ordinary display lighting into extraordinary lighting.

To augment the LED MR16 Reflector Series, a 6W lamp is now available. Resembling the size and outlook of MR16 halogen lamp, this new 6W LED MR16 Reflector appears familiar to customers and facilitates retrofit. The additions of 3W and 4W to LED CANDLE series resemble a point light source that expands the potential for luxurious elegance with chandeliers and crystal fixtures, and provide a greater selection to all users.

This year, MEGAMAN^® has partnered with Towngas to create energy-efficient, environmentally business settings. Ms Catherine Wong, Retail Marketing Manager of Towngas were onsite to reveal how this partnership works and offer visitors insight into the Towngas “green mission” at the smaller-than-life scale Towngas Flame Restaurant and Customer Service Centre corners in the booth. Installation of a range of long life MEGAMAN^® LEDs provide both perfect ambient light and narrow beam spotlighting in the Towngas Flame restaurant and Customer Service Centre settings, and allows Towngas to reduce its CO2 greenhouse gas emissions and promote a low-carbon lifestyle, as well as meet the needs of its customers. Moreover, MEGAMAN^® lamps release minimal heat, thereby allowing diners to enjoy greater comfort while Towngas reaps the eco-benefits.

Eco-partnerships such as this one show how commercial enterprises can achieve operational cost savings along with customer comfort, and benefit the global environment at the same time.

Towngas Flame restaurant, Mia Cucina Shop and Customer Service Centres (6 Locations) employ MEGAMAN^® Eco-lighting solution to reduce more than 71,000 kWh energy consumption and save approximately 49 tonnes of CO2 emission annually.
