(Hong Kong, 28 December 2011) MEGAMAN® is delighted to announce that its LED R9 PAR38 lamp has been named as a Finalist in the Light Sources category of the Lighting Design Awards 2012. The Lighting Design Awards is the most prestigious worldwide lighting competition to reward excellence in lighting design and attracts over 800 guests to its annual event organised by Emap (the publishers of Lighting magazine). The final will take place on 21 March 2012.
The MEGAMAN® LED R9 PAR38 lamp is designed to optimise the visual impact of meat, fresh fruit and vegetables by increasing the red colour rendition of the product. Compared to halogen and metal halide lamps, which are traditionally weak in red rendition, the MEGAMAN® LED R9 PAR38 lamp provides a high colour rendering, giving food displays a rich red content.
